Daniel Blumenthal .
Daniel Blumenthal was born of American parents in Germany . He moved with his parents to Paris where he started playing the piano at the age of five. After graduating from high school, he went on to study music at American University in Washington , de University of Michigan where he obtained his Bachelor of Music and the Juilliard School in New York where he obtained his master's degree in Music and his PhD in Musical Arts. After that he went to take lessons with Benjamin Kaplan in London .
Between 1981 and 1983 Blumenthal won prizes at various international competitions and competitions, including in Leeds in 1981 , Sydney in 1981 , and Geneva and busonia in 1982 . In 1983 he became the fourth laureate at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium .
Daniel Blumenthal is a professor at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels
