Yannick Van de Velde .

Yannick Van de Velde took part in numerous national and international competitions.
He got the first prize in the Dexia Competition, he won the 'Prix de la Fondation'
Chopin, Artiste de l'Année. He became semi-finalist of the Queen Elisabeth Competition
and received the Walckiers-Carbonelle Prize. He also won the Nany . prize
Philpart. In 2014 he won the "Prix d'Argent", the "Prix du Public" and the prize for
best interpretation of the imposed work in the "Concours International Piano
Campus" in Paris. In 2015, he became a finalist in the prestigious Busoni competition in
Bolzano, (Italy), which is kicking off his career.
Yannick Van de Velde has performed all over the world, both as a soloist and
chamber musician: the Berlin Philharmonic, the Acropolis Museum in Athens or the
Lincoln Center in New York, just to name a few.

Yannick Van de Velde started studying piano at the age of 5 in the music school of Sint-Niklaas with Isabelle Van Iseghem and Johan Lybeert. Afterwards studied at the Conservatory of Brussels with Jan Michiels, the "Centre Musical Eduardo del Peuyo" with Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, at Klaus Hellwig in Berlin and at Elisso Virsaladze in Florence, Italy.
