Recognized as part of a new generation of talented young musicians,  Roeland Henkens  made his solo debut with Arutunian's Trumpet Concerto in 2009.

Followed by a concert tour in the Czech Republic with the University Symphony Orchestra of Leuven, Roeland appeared as trumpet soloist in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Roeland Henkens is currently the trumpet solo at the Opra Orchestra of Oslo, Norway.

Roeland's dexterity in both the modern and baroque trumpet has given him a notable reputation. He is a regular guest with the Luxembourg Philharmonic as well as in the most recognized Belgian orchestras.

Roeland Henkens completed his Bachelor of Music Degree with the 'Highest Distinction' at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and a Master of Music at the  Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst  in  Frankfurt am Main  under the tutelage of Professor Klaus Schuhwerk.
