As 1st solo trumpeter of Den Norske Opera & Ballet, the National Opera of Norway, Roeland Henkens immediately leaves his personal mark on a new generation of young musical talent. He also played as Guest Solo Trumpeter  with orchestras such as the Oslo Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Flemish Opera, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra, the Brussels Philharmonic, the West Coast Kokkola Opera, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra and many others.

His expressiveness and flexibility give Roeland a prominent reputation as an orchestral musician, chamber musician and soloist. He is co-founder of the Belgian EBURON QUINTET,  a brass quintet  with which he took the first prize at the  “8ième Concours International de Musique de Chambre de Lyon”.

Roeland has already played in the largest European concert halls and even played at historical sites such as the Acropolis Museum in Athens. As a soloist he made his debut with the University Symphony Orchestra of Leuven, with which he performed concert tours in the Czech Republic and Denmark. More recently he played with the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker Theater Krefeld-Mönchengladbach, the Nürnberger Symphoniker and the Belgian Chamber Philharmonic.  

Roeland gave masterclasses in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in Russia, Eurocuivres en Cuivres and Dombes in France with the Eburon Quintet.
